This Women on Water Weekend Workshop is designed to inspire and empower female* sea kayakers of all abilities and experience levels. With our knowledgeable and talented coaches, you’ll enjoy a weekend of paddling development and fun.
Tailor your experience by choosing the sessions that match your interests, goals, and ability level. Covering aspects such as stroke development, rescues and rolling, navigation, tides & currents, trip prep and touring skills.
This workshop includes a meet, greet & learn soirée on Friday evening, 2 Workshop Days in Deep Cove, and dinner on Saturday evening at our Coast Outdoor’s Retail store in North Vancouver.
*”Women on Water” is inclusive and welcomes (but is not limited to): cis-gender women, nonbinary folks, transgender women, 2-spirited folks, those who are exploring or do not conform to gender identity, and those who feel safe and included in our space.

Who should enroll in this course
This course is perfect for women* who:
- Are new to kayaking and want to start with the right foundation
- Have paddled a bit but never had formal instruction
- Want to feel more confident, safe, and in control on the water
- Prefer learning in a supportive, women-only environment
- Are curious about sea kayaking but aren’t sure where to begin

No experience needed. Just bring your sense of adventure, and we’ll handle the rest.
