Description

Our teen camps provide teenagers the opportunity to spend time on the water with other teens, learning paddling skills, leadership techniques and valuable practical on water knowledge. They will learn kayak skills including basic strokes, wet exits, intro to balancing & bracing, and kayak journeying.

Successful students will receive a nationally recognized Paddle Canada Level 1 Skills Certification

• Teens spend 5 days learning kayak skills, journeying skills and ocean awareness
• Marine navigation skills including chart reading, tides and currents and marine weather forecasts
  
  $40 non-refundable registration fee (per person per camp). 14 days notice before start of camp is required to reschedule or to cancel for a refund (not including the non-refundable $40 registration fee)

Who should enroll on this course

Ages 13-16. No experience required

Participants should be comfortable swimming for short periods in the ocean

All participants wear life jackets at all times during water activities
