The Guest Services Representatives are responsible for assisting customers make reservations, make payments, recommend routes, and sell our various services to potential customers. Your role is to ensure all of our procedures have been completed accurately before customers move outside to be assisted by the Beach Crew.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent and quality customer service to each our guests
  • Ensuring customers have filled out waivers
  • Ensuring customers have paid for their rental/ lesson/ tour
  • Ensuring customers have appropriate boats to match the members of their group 
  • Recommending an appropriate destination based on the group experience
  • Answering phone inquiries
  • Maintaining our office space (clean + organized)
  • Checking customers back in as they return
  • Redirecting to Cates Park / Jericho when applicable
  • Make all reservations both in person and over the phone
  • Handling all cash and credit payments 
  • Restocking all retail merchandise
  • Checking phone messages
  • Make sure every group, lesson and rental has paid or in the case of a group or school has been properly invoiced
  • Have knowledge of all of DCK policies and enforcing them

Requirements

  • Confident speaker
  • Comfortable working with a Point Of Sale software on PC and tablet
  • Able to relay vital information
  • Comfortable standing and walking for a 8-hour shift
  • Strong customer service
  • Paddle Canada Sea Kayak Level 1 Skills Certification (can be provided prior to first shift)
  • Comfortable talking on phone calls
  • Patient teacher
  • Comfortable working in a tight workspace
  • Enjoy working in a team
  • Maximum time away from work in July and August is 2 weeks.
